THE BOOK
Reconciliation isn't a side issue of the gospel. It's the heart of it.
In The Reconciled Church, Owen Hylton draws together years of theological reflection and pastoral practice to make a bold, hopeful case — that the divided are made one at the cross, and the local church is where that becomes real.
Of all the communities on earth, the people who preach new creation should be the ones who model it.
Owen Hylton - Introduction
WHAT IT’S ABOUT
A journey from Genesis to Revelation
Walking through the whole sweep of Scripture, the book traces reconciliation as God's plan from the beginning — not merely reconciliation to God, but the reconciliation of people long divided from one another.
It's both a prophetic challenge and a pastoral guide: honest about the Church's failures around race, culture and division, and generous with practical, grace-filled steps toward becoming a community that lives what it preaches.

REVIEWS
What readers are saying
“We are all painfully aware of how many wounds need to be healed, and relationships restored, for this to truly happen. In this timely book, Owen helps us see that reconciliation is not an after-thought or by-product of the gospel – but it is central to God’s heart for humanity.”
Jim Partridge - pastor of The King’s Church, Mid-Sussex
Filled with hard-earned wisdom gained through years of pastoring experience, Owen brings important teaching about grace for those who have felt on opposite sides of dividing walls of hostility. His pastoral and powerful words for diaspora Christians will stir readers to be a blessing in the UK.
Rosie Hopley - chair of The Reconciled Church group
The Reconciled Church names things many of my friends and church members feel but struggle to articulate, and I am believing and praying that its fruit will be seen over time — in my church, in other churches, and in communities shaped and strengthened by the call to live out the reconciling work of the cross in the everyday lives of those who follow Jesus.
Oliver Stevens - pastor of Kings Church Eastbourne
